These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Voltix Electrical website and your engagement with our energy infrastructure services. By accessing this website or requesting our services, you agree to these terms.
01 Introduction
Voltix Electrical ("Voltix", "we", "us") provides solar installations, backup power systems, EV charging infrastructure, estate energy solutions, and related maintenance services in the Republic of South Africa.
These terms apply to all visitors, clients, estates, developers, and commercial partners. Separate written agreements may apply to specific projects and will prevail where they conflict with these general terms.
02 Website Use
You may use this website for lawful purposes only. You agree not to:
- Copy, scrape, or redistribute content without written permission
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to our systems or data
- Submit false or misleading information through inquiry forms
- Use the site in any way that could harm Voltix, our clients, or third parties
Content on this website is provided for general information. It does not constitute professional engineering, financial, or legal advice. Project-specific recommendations require a formal assessment.
03 Services & Quotations
Descriptions of services on this website are illustrative. Final scope, pricing, timelines, and technical specifications are confirmed only in a signed quotation or service agreement.
Quotations are valid for the period stated therein (typically 30 days unless otherwise noted) and may be revised if site conditions, regulatory requirements, or equipment costs change materially before acceptance.
Submitting an inquiry form does not create a binding contract. A project commences only upon written acceptance of our quotation and, where applicable, receipt of a deposit.
04 Installations & Site Access
Clients are responsible for providing safe, lawful access to installation sites, including necessary approvals from body corporates, landlords, or authorities. Delays caused by access restrictions, incomplete information, or third-party approvals may affect scheduling and costs.
Voltix performs work in accordance with applicable South African electrical standards, municipal bylaws, and NRS requirements. Clients must disclose existing electrical infrastructure, structural limitations, and known hazards before work begins.
05 Build-Operate-Transfer Partnerships
Where a Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) or similar partnership model is offered, operational periods, savings projections, ownership transfer conditions, and maintenance obligations are defined exclusively in the dedicated partnership agreement.
Performance figures cited on this website (including savings percentages) are estimates based on historical projects and are not guaranteed for every property. Actual results depend on consumption patterns, tariff structures, system sizing, and environmental factors.
06 Payment Terms
Unless otherwise agreed in writing:
- A deposit may be required to secure equipment and schedule installation
- Progress payments may apply for larger estate or commercial projects
- Final payment is due upon practical completion, subject to snag-list resolution
- Late payments may incur interest at rates permitted under South African law
Title to equipment may remain with Voltix or its financiers until full payment is received, where permitted by law and stated in your agreement.
07 Warranties & Maintenance
Manufacturer warranties apply to equipment such as panels, inverters, and batteries. Voltix workmanship warranties are specified per project and require compliance with recommended maintenance schedules.
Warranties do not cover damage from misuse, unauthorised modifications, force majeure events, grid failures beyond system design, or failure to maintain equipment. Maintenance and monitoring plans may be offered separately.
08 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Voltix shall not be liable for indirect, consequential, or special damages including loss of profit, loss of data, or business interruption arising from use of this website or our services.
Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to a specific project is limited to the fees paid by the client for that project, except where liability cannot be limited by law (including gross negligence or personal injury caused by our proven fault).
09 Privacy & Communications
Information submitted through our forms is used to respond to inquiries, prepare proposals, and deliver services. We do not sell personal information to third parties. We may use trusted service providers for hosting, analytics, and communication under appropriate confidentiality obligations.
By submitting your details, you consent to being contacted regarding your inquiry. You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting us.
10 Governing Law & Changes
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of South African courts, unless otherwise agreed in a project contract.
We may update these terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page indicates the current version. Continued use of the website after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
